We
have six homegroups and a prayer cell.
| Homegroups are small groups of people who meet together regularly in someone's home to learn more about the Christian faith. A typical meeting lasts about one and a half hours, and might include some Bible study, some worship and praying together. | ![]() |
The
aim is to have a very relaxed atmosphere, where each member can make friends,
grow in their love of God, and be supported in living out their Christian faith.
Each
of our homegroups have a unique character. Two meet during the daytime, the
others in the evening. Some meet weekly, others fortnightly.
One
of the new groups has a crèche attached to it and is particularly aimed at mums
with children of school age or younger.
Homegroups play a significant role in the lives of many at St Mary’s. You’d be very welcome to join a group. Alternatively, why not come along to one meeting to try it out and see if it suits you before committing yourself. If you are still exploring the Christian faith, why not try an Alpha course first?
As
well as our regular homegroups we also run the very popular Alpha courses.
