Getting Married At St. Mary’s

If you are planning to marry, why not consider St. Mary’s?

If you live in the parish of Walton and have not been married before then there should be no problems. We would love to make your day special in God’s House.

The Bible says,  “My dear friends, let us love one another because the source of love is God” 1John 4:7

Christians believe strongly in marriage and we will be praying for you on your big day.

Heather and David Wakefield chose St. Mary’s for their wedding day.

"It is said your wedding should be one of the happiest days of your life. St Mary's helped make it that by being warm and welcoming to create a relaxed and comfortable environment for our wedding ceremony."

Weddings can be very expensive so we always give an estimate for the church fees. At present getting married at St. Mary’s will cost between £270-300. Usually couples pay in cash on the rehearsal night.

Most people who marry at St. Mary’s do so by the calling of banns. This is where their names are read out on three consecutive Sundays the month before the wedding for anyone to object to the wedding on legal grounds. If you live outside the parish then you are responsible for having your banns called in the parish church where you are resident.

We would really like to make your wedding day special.
